Sonia is a reiki practitioner who has been practicing Usui Shiki Ryoho, the Usui System of Natural Healing (reiki), in NYC since 2014 She involved in many reiki and wellness communities throughout the city, and has experience practicing reiki in a variety of settings and formats, including individual and group sessions, community clinics, clients’ homes, corporate wellness programs and wellness fairs. She treats people of all genders, races and body types. Plants and animals, too! Sonia is currently completing her 2,000 hour Master level training.

Every reiki practitioner is part of a “lineage,” or line of teachers that can be traced back to Dr. Mikao Usui who rediscovered the ancient healing system as we know it today. When choosing a practitioner, it is important to look for someone who is able to trace his/her lineage back to Usui to ensure that the practitioner was properly trained, or “attuned”, and can give reiki effectively.

I was born in Ametista do Sul - Brazil where the world's largest amethyst mines are found, and have always been passionate about the energies from crystals, minerals and gemstones.

For me It is a pleasure to work with small miners from arou nd the world, supporting ethically sourced minerals from small communities, specially in my hometown. I'm always grateful to our workers/friends from Brazil, whom hand cut, and polish the quartz and rocks one by one, making every piece we sell a unique mother nature gift sculpted by humble artisans.

Here in New York, I brought the passion about crystals and minerals and decided to open Crystal Elation, to keep connected with my roots and also keep healing energies with me.
